Damn! It’s great to be a woman! Sometimes you come across an anthem that just makes you wanna go out in the streets, take off your bra, and slap a dude that dares try to cross you. In 2016, that was “Formation.” Last year it was “Bodak Yellow.” It may very well be that YESEO‘s “Bitches Rule” is the bop that I blast in my earphones when I’m walking down the street for the remainder of 2018.
There are layers to the badassery that is this tune. First of all, let’s just talk about the title in and of itself! How many females do you see in Korea talking not only about women running thangs? Nonono, my children. She’s straight-up came from the gutter and said, “Bitches do it so right!” Excuse me, madame?! Who disrespected you so much you had to put them in their place so damn hard? Secondly, this visuals. Drenched in black and blood-red, the video is vectored out, with a bald woman strutting through her domain buck-ass nekkid because, you know what? She runs this shit!
