Zandari Festa Interview: Victim Mentality

Bust out your Aqua Net and spandex kids, you’re gonna need them for this next band.

Victim Mentality is playing Zandari Festa again this year and they are back with super sexy bods and great new music. This band is truly unique in the lineup. They bring you good old heavy metal that will have you thrusting your fists in the air and whipping out your zippo app (yes, this really exists) because, let’s face it, nobody can belt out a good old sentimental (though always with a twist of self-deprecating humor) rock ballad like Krocodile can. Check out what he had to say about his bandmates and this year’s festival.

We’d love to get an introduction to your band in your own words. Will you tell us who makes up your band, and how you describe your style of music?

I make everything. All of our songs, lyrics, concepts and our thinking. The other members are all slaves and they feel comfort under my command. I’m not a dictator, though. I’m a very generous master and give everything to my servants.

Victim Mentality’s musical style is 80’s heavy metal and hair metal.

What does being invited to play at Zandari Festa 2017 mean to you?

It has no meaning. All performances are the same to us.

What is the best part of Zandari Festa for you?

The after party is great. I like free drinks.

Who do you want to see play at Zandari Festa this year?

I haven’t checked the lineup yet. Maybe I’ll watch some of the overseas acts.

What can people at Zandari Festa expect from your performance?

We’re focused on making muscles these days. For powerful performances. And Death. We kill people through our music.

Victim Mentality will be playing on September 30th (Saturday) @ SANGSANGMADANG Live Hall from 17:30 – 18:30. (5:30 – 6:30)

You can follow Victim Mentality on Facebook, find more showcase info on their Zandari page, and buy thir music on iTunes.
