Last year I came across Land of Peace in the compilation album called “Winter Dreams,” which I believe was a project spearheaded by Love X Stereo, to celebrate the 2018 PyeongChang winter olympic games. From the eight artists that participated Land of Peace was definitely my favorite despite the fact that a few of my favorite bands participated in the project. For the past year, I’ve kept an eye on L.O.P and they’ve blown my mind with each of their releases in 2018 starting with their EP “Life in Timog.”
“Life in Timog” was inspired by their childhood home of the Philippines, specifically the village of Timog Park. Their nostalgic recollection of Timog Park’s tribulation and blissfulness is carried by harmonies infused with psychedelic, lo-fi, tropical rock to name a few. At Timog park

Later in 2018 they released “My Single Bed” and “Happy Kushy Days” before their guitarists Minsuk and Jimmy enlisted in the army. However, it looks like the band will continue with activities because they just finished filming a music video this past week. In the meantime, you can check out their whole discography on Spotify which includes around nineteen songs. And remember what L.O.P always says to their fans, “do not get high by taking drugs, let’s get high by listening to L.O.P’s music!”

El año pasado me encontré con Land of Peace en el álbum recopilatorio llamado “Winter Dreams“, que creo que fue un proyecto encabezado por Love X Stereo, para celebrar los juegos olímpicos de invierno de 2018 PyeongChang. Más tarde, en 2018, lanzaron “My Single Bed” y “Happy Kushy Days” antes de que sus guitarristas Minsuk y Jimmy se alistaran en el ejército. Sin embargo, parece que la banda continuará con las actividades porque acaban de terminar de filmar un video musical la semana pasada.
